Working inside the industry gave her a clear view of price movements and supply dynamics. When she observed shifts in the market for platinum group metals and later for rare earths she had a natural reaction: she wanted to benefit from what she was seeing.
For gold and silver, the path is straightforward. ETFs, physical bullion dealers, online platforms — the infrastructure exists. But when it came to ruthenium and iridium, and certainly rare earths like neodymium or dysprosium, the picture was completely different.
The markets for these materials are industrial by nature. They are not traded on public exchanges. There are no widely available ETFs. Physical dealers for platinum group metals beyond gold and silver are scarce, and quality, storage, and certification are not guaranteed. The private investor is effectively locked out — unless they know where to look.
